To make this shorter here is a link to my Google recovery thread where you can check out how they handle this account recovery discrepancy.

The password reset email codes aren't arriving at my recovery email address.

https://support.google.com/accounts/thread/29553528?hl=en

I keep a very accurate notepad document with my passwords on it and I double check that my new password works each time that I change it.  So, when my blogger account denied me access that could mean only one of two things.  One, an auto-reset action was somehow initiated for security reasons to protect my account.  Two, somebody physically logged into my blog and changed the password.

My recovery email address at mail.com works fine and there isn't anything wrong with it, until I request a password reset from Google, then usually I don't receive the codes and if I do they arrive too late to use them.  I contacted mail.com customer service on the telephone and they confirmed that the error is on Google's behalf because mail.com isn't receiving them and when they do they go immediately into my inbox.  So, I have everything required to recover my account; backup codes, text message verification and my recovery email.  As you can see, in the link above, customer service is a total waste of time because they don't provide real fixes and when I finally did get a link to a ticket page the Google techs didn't respond at all to my ticket submissions.  Now I just want to delete the blog and quit using Google altogether and it is starting to appear as though if I want real resolve on this I am going to have to contact a legal representative.

Basically, they took my account access away and pissed away my attempts to recover it.

Anyone else got similar experiences?  I remember the last time I used account recovery it actually worked and there was a real tech support prescence that would respond fairly quick.  That support is gone.

I don't use Chrome on my personal devices and now I am going to quit using Google service altogether.  I might use Google search or Maps once in a while but not if I can find an alternative.

I think if you did something wrong/violated their rules they would have sent you a message via your google email account, or your recovery account, I don't know for sure.  Did you get something telling you what happened?

Using mail.com may be creating another problem for you.  And yes, free services are a pita sometimes.  What if you log in directly you gmail on your next attempt?

If I don't reply right away it's because I'm waiting for Windows 10 to Update.

This started well before the coronavirus scare.  I live in a low impact and low risk area for this supercold.  Guess I should wait this out, another month, at least.  Alright.  Thanks for the pointers, I will be keeping up on this because I want that blog back, I wasn't done editing it and adding entries to it.

This trouble is still going on and Google will not help me recover my blog and they won't send me my code to the recovery email.  Although this trouble is their "error" (done intentionally) there is no "customer service" (cant be a customer if youre not paying).  There literally is no customer service to help you with technical issues.  The recovery process is 100% automated into a loop that has no solution if your account has the error that mine has.  There is 1 customer service rep on their message board, who I suspect is more than one person, and they are as powerless as you and have no special powers to recover your account.

It's been well over 2 months, about 3 months and through all that time, no help recovering my account.  I even have all the recovery codes and my recovery email and my phone number to verify the account.  Even with all this they rigged it against me.
